Nettle

Nettle (from the Latin 'urtica') is the common name for plants of the genus Urtica , of the Urticaceae family, all of which are characterized by having stinging hairs that release an acidic substance that causes itching and inflammation of the skin.

However, the same plant offers many health benefits . It's purifying (eliminates toxins from the body), diuretic , and contains vitamins A, B, C, and E. It contains iron, regulates oily skin, and helps eliminate kidney stones.

The irritating property for which it is widely known makes it unpopular with people, but the reality is that the plant ceases to have that quality when it is dried or cooked .
